Joystick

The single joystick control with rocker switch is easier to operate and has multi-function capability.

The TH255 with its compact dimensions, three steering mode options and 126 inch turning radius provides the operator with improved mobility and maneuverability throughout busy job sites.

Lift Height

The TH255 can lift and place materials to a maximum height of 5.6 m (18 ft 4 in).

Maneuverability

The TH3255 offers excellent maneuverability, due to its tight turning circle and three different steering modes (2-wheel, 4-wheel and crab).

Steering Modes

The TH255 offers three steering modes (2-wheel, crab and 4-wheel steer) and full-time 4-wheel drive for non-slip, steady navigation to allow an operator to more easily position the machine.

Power Train

Caterpillar Engine

The TH255 features a reliable turbo charged engine, which is certified to meet the Stage IIIA (Tier 3) emission regulations. The standard engine is a Cat C4.4 DIT, mechanical fuel injection, 84 hp, displacement 4.4 liter.

Transmission

The TH255 features a hydrostatic transmission with a 56cc variable displacement piston pump and a variable displacement piston motor. The hydrostatic drive allows automotive-style driving with no shifting required and provides for more precise positioning of the materials. Directional control is by a forward/reverse lever mounted on the steering column.

Hydrostatic Transmission

The greatest advantage of the hydrostatic transmission is the ability to produce an infinite range of vehicle speed without the need to shift gears. The transmission controls the machine from stationary to maximum speed and back to stationary.

Axles

Durable planetary axles with fulltime 4-wheel drive are features on the TH255 providing a 40 degree steering angle for outstanding maneuverability.

Front Axle

In the front axle a limited slip differential is fitted as standard. The limited slip is designed to give added traction and power from the spinning to the gripping wheel. The permanent 4-wheel drive reduces the chance of slipping wheels even more.

The TH255 is an extremely versatile machine that meets the needs of construction, landscape and agriculture applications.

Coupler System

For added versatility, choose either the standard universal-style skid steer loader (SSL) coupling system that's compatible with many Cat skid steer loader work tools or the optional telehandler-style coupler. When choosing the telehandler-style coupler system, a hydraulic Quick Coupler is available to allow the operator to quickly change non-hydraulic work tools without leaving the cab.

Cost of Ownership

The TH255 has extended service intervals and the reduction in service parts gives Cat Telehandlers some of the lowest operating costs in the industry.

Ease of Access

Cost of ownership starts with ease of service. All Cat Telehandler service points are accessible and major components are within reach at ground level due to the machine's overall design.

Daily Maintenance

Routine daily maintenance is now reduced to checking fluid levels and a walkaround inspection. An easily accessible side-mounted engine makes for smoother serviceability.

Service Intervals

Engine oil, filter changes and routine lubrication are now only required every 500 hours.
